The world goes on

The world before and after your failed product launch.

Yes, that’s right.

It’s not the end of the world. Move on. Go on a rebound and ship another.

This is more reminder to self than anything.

Gotta admit, even though I went in knowing full well that Lists Kit might not have an audience on X, I was still kinda bummed by the failed launch. It still affected me somewhat.

At the same time, I got busier with consulting. So I just let it sit for a while, wallow a bit. Will come back to it after my consulting peak season is over, in a month.

Honestly, if I want to ship faster, this has to change. I can’t let it affect me so much. Got to be biased towards action instead of over-thinking/-wallowing.

And then there’s the flip side to the meme:

The world before and after your successful product launch.

That’s an even more important point, imho.

If a product launch succeeds, it’s a small win. And you got more work cut out for you to make sure it grows. That’s even harder.

The world goes on, with or without you. Failure or success.

Sounds nihilistic, but oddly comforting.
