Three-day weekend

It is a great feeling to stare a three-day weekend in the face. In the US, Monday, July 4th is a federal holiday. There are many people who took more days off to extend the weekend, but I’m just going with the standard.

A buddy of mine said his company is giving all employees the whole week off next week. I told him they should have it contingent upon participating in drag bingo, which was one of the many activities the company sponsored for Pride month.

I have no plans to go anywhere or do anything. It’s too hot. If you’ve seen one fireworks show, you’ve seen them all. Lighting off fireworks is a young man’s game. I’ll be taking some extra time on Monday morning for my newsletter. Other than that, I’ll be doing a lot of reading and still playing good ol’ Diablo Immortal. Maybe I’ll have a burger or hot dog. My family always used to grill out during holidays, but I haven’t fired up my propane grill in a long time. It’s hard for me to ignore all the deleterious effects of using high heat to cook food.
