Tipping point

It’s strange.
I come back from Japan and nothing seems to make sense anymore.
Japan was just the tipping point. This had been brewing for some years now, ever since the pandemic, ever since fatherhood.
The punishing pace and stress of life in Singapore.
The social grace, or lack thereof, for each other.
The level of consciousness of daily life here.
The trade-off between progress and calm.
The values we live and strive for.

When all you’ve known is to survive as a little red dot, how do you thrive? Can you even?
Beyond the basic material pleasures, the comforting hawker food, the warming kopi c kosong, the efficient trains, the cool air-conditioned malls that sells you all the bread and circus you need, what else is there?
Make it make sense.
Because I want to know.
Because otherwise, I’m leaving.
Nothing makes sense anymore.

I thought the same thing. At the very least, leave Singapore?

but seriously do consider JB :P nearly to your home country and utilize your $$, 10K usd might be nothing for SG or JP , but if in JB i think the whole family can be taking care well, plus once the RTS is done, can travel btw easily.
migrate to JP ?
