Topics & Tips

I often get caught up in thinking about topics, but don’t bring my thinking down to specific tips I can share in tweets or blog posts. This is a common “writer’s block” for me, but the solution is very simple: focus on a specific point to make.

I face this whenever I want to write a post here: I find myself thinking about “writing” or “productivity” or “personal growth” and draw a blank. But when I latch onto a tangible object around me (water bottle -> importance of hydration) or a concrete experience (waiting in line for government paperwork), I have something clear to share.

What abstract ideas do you find yourself stuck in, and how can you bring your focus to a specific point or experience you want to share?

Waiting in line for government paperwork sounds like one of the world’s most boring topics. I would challenge you to make that one interesting to read. 😎

Oh damn @therealbrandonwilson, I didn’t realize you wanted a “waiting in line” post. I wrote about broken government systems today. 🤣
