Tougher, not lighter

If you carry a weight long enough, you start to carry it well. Like it’s nothing. Like it’s light. But the weight itself never got any lighter. It was just as heavy as it was when you started. You simply got stronger, tougher, better.

You grew.

So did things change?

The weight didn’t.
But you did.

So on days when the same weight feels heavy again, it doesn’t mean you regressed. You were just tired. You had a bad day. You were not at your best.

That happens.

But your growth didn’t disappear overnight just because you had a bad day. Nothing a good night’s sleep, a wholesome, fulfilling meal can’t fix.

Tougher is tougher is tougher.
