Trying stuff

Re-reading posts like this birthday sale hack and this post about dabbling got me in a reflective mood:

I used to try stuff.

Anything.
Everything.
Just to get a sale.
Just fk it and do it.

But somewhere along the way last year, I simply ‘gave up’ trying.

‘Gave up’ in air quotes because… perhaps I realised this life stage isn’t about that anymore. It’s about trying stuff on other things. Other non indie hacker, entrepreneurial things.

Like my big family relocation.
Like staying afloat above survival.
Like my child’s coming education shift.

Any one of those things would be a big enough attention sink. Lest sat all three going on at once.

Priorities priorities priorities.

I think I’m slowly settling into embodying that realisation, even though I still have moments of grief or greed, of wanting everything, of not trading off. BUT not that I have to completely give up on my $10k MRR dream…

Maybe it’s just on the shelf for the time being.

Will be right back, once other more important things are settled.
