Unused freedom

I had a long, leisurely 3h lunch with the missus today. One of those rare Fridays where I get to chill a bit and not crazily context switching from one job to another amongst my four jobs.

After all, this was what I originally signed up for with indie hacking. The sweet freedom to do this—or anything at all—during weekdays, at any time I want. But somewhere along the way, the scare of survival crept in, the juggle of four jobs took over, and that freedom was all but unused.

Freedom that’s not used is not freedom.
It’s just the illusion of having infinite optionality.
When in reality, you’re caught in a prison of your own making.

So… days like this is really nice.

A nice reminder of the freedom I sought.
And the freedom lived out.
