Wanderlove: Why I love travel

Been nursing a serious bout of wandergrief since coming back from Japan.

Both my wife and I agree: Japan spoils you. And you’ll never travel the same again. Your expectations and standards for culture, service, people and quality are irrevocably higher after experiencing Japan. It opens up your mind to all the noise you had grown accustomed to over the years, but now can’t unhear.

This is why I love travel – it changes you.

It jolts you out of daily existence.
It broadens your mind.
It makes life interesting… again.

Most of all, it shows me just how much there is out there in the world—in life—worth living for, worth exploring, worth enjoying, worth challenging yourself to pursue it.

It’s not wanderlust.
It’s wanderlove.
