Welcome inconveniences

A list of welcome inconveniences we should wholeheartedly accept in life:

  • You’re in a lovely cafe, and just when you’re leaving, it rains like the end of the world. Now you’re stuck at the cafe. Niceee.
  • You missed the only train to your destination, ended up taking a bus which took longer, but along a scenic, chillaxing route.
  • A two-hour meeting you’ve been preparing for got cancelled at the last minute because someone important can’t make it. You end up finishing work early for the day.
  • A client ghosted you after weeks of discussion, video calls and re-writing of proposals. You’re bummed. Months later, you hear from the grapevine that the client was a nightmare to work with.

I like to think this was your guardian angel guiding you to where you should be.

Welcome inconveniences. You’d never know if it’s a blessing.

When it rains I can hunker indoors, unsociable and guilt-free.
