What happens when you can make anything?

Devin, the world’s first AI software engineer had been making rounds on X. It’s wild what it can do, and it sure is scaring many software engineers. Lots of anxiety being triggered…

But as an indie hacker and software entrepreneur?

I think we’re safe.

Because let’s say Devin or some future version can build ANYTHING I tell it to build.

But I still need to tell it what to build.
I still need to find the right opportunity and idea.
I still need to do the marketing.
I still need to generate profit.
I still need creativity and ingenuity.
I still need to make good judgement and decisions.

So yes, entrepreneurs are safe.

In fact, beyond relief that we’re safe, I’m EXCITED. Beyond excited.

Having tools like Devin means I can build faster, ship more. I’m thinking how will it empower me to be a better indie hacker and entrepreneur, less feeling threatened by it.

I’m thinking, what new things can it help me make?!

In fact, what can it not make? I can make almost anything!
