What went right

Today I woke up, my heart was beating, my lungs worked, the sun moved and 1 million other things went right before my feet even touched the floor. – @thefallenpoe.t

A million things went right today.

I woke up.
I can walk.
I can breathe.
I can think.
I am healthy.
My wife and son is well.
My parents are well.
I still have a job(s).
Money is okay now.
I have dollars in my wallet.
I have shelter.
I have a home.
The fridge is full of food.
Water is easily available.
I flip a switch and light comes on.
My neighbourhood is safe.
There’s no war.

A million things went right today, for me to be writing this today.
A million things to be thankful for.

YET.

Yet I don’t feel a drop of gratitude.
Only mind-numbing, overwhelming exhaustion.

Things can go right, but if when you have zero capacity to enjoy said abundance, it doesn’t matter if it’s a million or a trillion.

Gratitude is cool.
But capacity is better.

Burnout is real. I’m pulling for you to get over the hump, brother.

@therealbrandonwilson Thanks brother. This time the valley is kinda deep. But as always, it cycles.
