Whatever it takes

All the tech stacks I’m learning in just the past month alone, from my freelancing and personal work:

  • Nuxt, Vue, Express, Typescript, Tailwind, MongDB
  • Ruby, Rails, Tailwind, PostgreSQL
  • PHP, SQLite

I’m in max learning mode. Brain not fried yet, but definitely feeling challenged ⚡️🧠⚡️ Thankfully, using AI tools like Cursor had been a great help to onboard to a new tech stack and codebase.

In the past, I would have been hesitant to learn a new tech stacks like Typescript or Rails. I probably wouldn’t even feel confident enough to try.

But now, anything to get the family fed.

Whatever it takes.

I wonder if the tech stacks will get abstracted away. Or will we see an explosion of new languages, frameworks and other components because they’re easier to build?

I approve of the inclusion of SQL. I haven’t had to use SQL Server with my new client yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.

@Winkletter I think yes, I think will get abstracted away eventually. As AI gets better, it will all just be plain English as the programming language.

@therealbrandonwilson btw fun fact - Lifelog is on PostgreSQL! Remember you helped me with some SQL statements back then when I was building it? 🤓

Ahh yes, I remember. Just as long as it’s not NOSQL, which is one of the worst names ever.
