What's your season

"Not everything blooms in spring. Your season might be autumn.

Keep going."

@James Clear

If we split the average human lifespan of 80 years into the four seasons, then we get:

0-20: Spring
20-40: Summer
40-60: Autumn
60-80: Winter

I’m 45. So I’m just into my autumn.
I hope I’m an autumn bloomer.

In many ways, it does feel that way. My summer of passion for not-for-profit causes and social impact is over. I’m clearly moving over to coding and entrepreneurship now. The brimming optimism of youth in 20s means you wanted to and was confident in changing the world for the better. Now, not so much. I’ll be happy to just change my own world. My tiny little bubble. Back then, I was tied to my birth country by choice, by allegiance, by loyalty. But now, no more. I’m location independent now. I want the world.

Autumn might be my season just yet.

Onwards.

Given Kuwait’s extremely hot summers, it feels like a relief to be in autumn. I just hope I bloom now instead having to respawn to experience spring again 😜
