Blending #100daysofmarketing with coding

Since deciding to do #100daysofmarketing, I’d been thinking over how to blend it with coding. Since it’ll be slightly over 3 months of non-stop marketing, I can’t exactly put off coding for that long. It’s got to somehow run in parallel.

So my current plan of 50:50 coding:marketing for 1-2 weeks block each might no longer work.

I need a more staggered, blended approach. Maybe like this:

Week 1 - 2
5 - 8am: Coding
9am - 12noon: Daily writing
2 - 4pm: Marketing

Week 3 - 4
5 - 8am: Strategy, planning, long form writing for blog posts
9am - 12noon: Daily writing
2 - 4pm: Marketing

Rinse and repeat till 100 days are up.

Of course, my August goals are ongoing as well, so that has to be blended into the first 30 or so days of #100daysofmarketing too.

My worry is: I initially switched to 50:50 approach instead of doing coding and marketing on the same day because I couldn’t take the cognitive load of context switching on a daily basis. So we’ll see if anything had changed. I probably need to review this after a few weeks.

Next: what should I learn, explore, experiment with during the 100 days? More thoughts to come…

5am coding?? I don’t know how you do it. I am trying to wake up early too but 5am is too much.

@keni haha 5am works if and only if I sleep by ~9pm. Coffee helps too. Few times I slept past 10pm due to baby, and my brain is all fogged up and at half capacity.
