Burnout retro, part 2

It’s been more than a month since I went into burnout recovery mode.
What gives?
Looks like this goes a lot deeper than it seems. After doing the usual routine of magnesium, sleep, rest, and more… I’m no longer physically exhausted. That deep fatigue is mostly gone.
But burnout is not just physical - there’s 4 types of burnout:
- Physical
- Mental
- Emotional
- Social
Perhaps it’s the other three that I need to address more of now.
Mental burnout - giving my mind a break. Not just the body. I think what I did last weekend just giving myself permission to just Netflix and chill, is the key.
Emotional burnout comes from stress, anxiety and expectations. The stress and anxiety from money scarcity seems fine now. But expectations on myself is still hard to drop. Writing about this now helps bring it to awareness at least…
Social burnout often comes from comparison. I think a good indicator is when I start feeling jealous or lousy seeing other people succeed on Twitter. Lately, it’s definitely happening a bit more than usual. Time to spend less time on Twitter (which I already am anyway).
