Closing a chapter on social impact projects

Two years ago I closed Buymeacoffee subscriptions for my social impact work, and then jumped on to my next project and bought the domain inclusivedesign.sg to start a new social impact project.

Two years later, zero progress.

I let the domain expire today.

I think it’s signalling a new chapter where I stop building these projects. Truth is, the heart is no longer there. And all that heart and passion, with very little real impact on my quality of life. Why bother?

It’s also aligned to leaving the government sector. The energy to serve is no longer there.

I simply have no time either. I hardly have time for anything else. Financially we’re good but I’m still in survival mode on my time and sanity.

So letting the domain expire today is just the start. I’ll be slowly letting these projects go one by one. Not building new ones. Not catching up with my network in those circles. Really, just letting the field I cultivated previously with so much heart die a quiet death.

This death is much needed, in order that I can come alive to my next season.

And I can’t wait.
