First Carrd-iversary

It’s been one year since I joined the Carrd team! I wrote this on 9 April 2024.
Been one hell of an awesome ride.
I started off just being social media manager for their X account, from April through Dec 2024 and then 2025. I’m still doing this.
Then on 20 Jan 2025, I started work as an entry level agent for their customer support team, answering tickets.
Just this week, after about three months, they asked if I wanted to do a supervisor role for it.
So grateful for the opportunities!
A few thoughts and reflections, one year on:

People people people. The team culture is just right for me. Light touch, but timely guidance. Remote but always on hand for each other.

I enjoy the product to start with, and through this I’m learning more about Carrd every day.

Front row seats to seeing what started from a bootstrapped, solo indie hacker product to a mixed VC-funded-bootstrapped tech startup, the kind of challenges they face, how the work changes as you scale.

Canned Support as a by-product SaaS idea. It definitely wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card, but I guess I’m building a customer support SaaS now. Can’t wait to fully flesh it out!

More ideas for Carrd plugins! That’s the nice part about this work. I get to continue working on my plugins, and also get interesting ideas from the support work.
It’s just been a year. Imagine next year!

@haideralmosawi I decided not to accept in the end, for now. Still feeling stretched so need more time to settle in my current workload across different gigs.
Same hours, just access to more internal tools and thus more types of tickets (previously i had to escalate if I didn’t have access).

Sounds great! Will you be accepting/have you accepted the supervisor role? Would that come with reduced work hours or more hours?
