I tripled my revenue for Plugins, AGAIN

Last year yesterday I realised I tripled my plugins revenue. That got me curious:

How about this year?

Went and look at my monthly figures:

2022 (2nd year)
Dec $407 + 320 + 108 = $835 (Made 7 new plugins)
Nov $607 + $299 = $906 (Started adding affiliate income)

Dec $337 + $495 = $832 (Completed 12 plugins in 12 months)
Nov $565 + $652 = $1217 (BF sale, first ever collab)

Sep $396 + $570 = $966 (Sponsored influencer, decided to keep growing plugins cos realised PMF takes time)
Aug $266 + $567 = $833 (Big expansion to new channels - yt, pinterest, fb, threads, google search console)
Jul $390 + $688 = $1078 (Stopped pushing growth)
Jun $425 + 502 = $927 (Launched $999 custom plugin dev)
May $410 + $563 = $973
Apr $420 + 487 = $907
Mar $466 + $427 = $893 (Made 4 new plugins)
Feb $380 + $369 = $749 (Made 5 new plugins, Flurry shut down switched to Payhip, LS, added social proof to site)
Jan $525 + $237 = $762 (Started sponsoring ads)

SO I TRIPLED MY PLUGINS REVENUE AGAIN!

This is really a slow but steady growth project.

A few things I did last year that I think helped with tripling revenue:

  • Never stopped shipping plugins (aka free tools marketing), even though I decided to stop pushing for spiky growth and went for slow steady growth. Completing 12 plugins in 12 months felt like coming full circle on my indie hacking journey.
  • Decided to get on all possible social media channels, especially those with Carrd users. Last count I’m on 17 platforms - Fb, reddit, twitter, ig, pinterest, tumblr, yt, substack, tiktok, indie hackers, deviantart, imgur, bsky, mastodon, telegram, linkedin, threads.
  • For every launch, I post it everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. That’s all the 17 platforms I have accounts on. Each platform I post on different formats – post, reel, story. I post with a brand account, reboost with my personal account. As much as possible for every launch I try something new, register for a new channels, and post there. On my last launch I had 40 posts!
  • Sponsored every Carrd maker influencer I could find.
  • Continued being active in active Carrd communities like r/Carrd, Facebook, Telegram.

What else do you think I should try this year to triple it again?

@Winkletter Haha I tried. From Jan to Jul, then I realised this ain’t an exponential growth product so I stopped pushing, and starting slow, steady growth approach instead
