Irons in the fire

I have a lot of irons in the fire. Reading @therealbrandonwilson yesterday inspired me to start building a process for a weekly review. I didn’t want to make my AI models do homework, i.e. track everything they create. So instead there’s a daily script that runs and checks what was changed in my Workspace folder. The process is still a bit open, but the plan is to harden it over time. On Fridays I’ll have a planning session looking ahead, and on Sunday I’ll do a look back at the week.

Is AI a tool? Is it a toy? For me it’s a time manager.

This morning I updated the Writing Streak daily exercise page to support a new exercise structure. It’s much simpler. The entire exercise now exists as a single line or two, although I do still have an optional preparation and reflection stage. My next goal is to add a shareable snapshot so I can start posting the exercises on social media.

And finally, I set up a placeholder webpage for my new project, Rhetorical Writer (the domain name might still be propagating out to the web). Instead of a hero image, I embedded a slide deck that switches between four different slide decks that describe the vision I have for the system.

Part of that vision is to eventually make the webpage itself the output of the system. The site itself is the test case.
