New $10k/m plans, part 2

Ok new plans for $10k/m, part 2:

Exactly what will I build?

Thinking about:

  • Sheet2Bio
  • Carrd AI bot
  • micro-SaaS for SaaS

I’ve been talking about reviving Sheet2Bio for ages. This could be one SaaS I could build first as a warm-up since the concept is there, the market is there, and it just needs a fresh build (it was never built beyond MVP).

An AI bot for Carrd support. I wonder if I can just white label something like SiteGPT, feed it the Carrd documentation, and all the hacks and work-arounds I provided to Carrd communities through the years and sell it as a service. But this is super niche, and not validated. Also not sure about demand (since the customers might be price sensitive and budget conscious).

The last one is one thing I’m quite excited about. It’s more of a category of ideas than a single product idea. It’s like me building plugins for Carrd, except for other SaaS. Just a tiny bit of code, embedded in your site, to add a feature to a SaaS landing page. Forms are the common thing. Next is auth. Recently, we got Poopup by Marc Lou and SalesPopup by Nico. These SaaS products are really just one single micro-feature within a SaaS or a landing page. Wordpress plugins had been doing this forever. It’s a line of work I’m familiar with, but slightly expanded into a different market.

I got a 4th category of ideas - AI wrappers. But that feels like something I can consider after I warmed up on one or more of these first 3 ideas…

What else do you think I should build?

How about a business marketing kit generator?
You enter your business type and AI generates a set of topics and things that your marketing should include. This would be blog posts, social media posts, press releases etc. The AI could also suggest logos, brand colours and even create the social media posts for you too.

I like the idea of the Carrd plugins. I guess you can make them work for “multi markets”. If you make a Carrd plugin, you can probably repurpose a lot of the code so that it works for Shopify, for example. Side note, there is money to be made there, in Shopify.

@tao thanks for the idea. Ah marketing isn’t my strong suit… might be a bad idea to wade in those unfamiliar waters 🐊

@drodol Yeah cool idea! Repurpose code. Thing is, I had dead projects thinking of doing the same for Webflow and then Framer. What held me back was that I don’t build on or use Webflow/Framer often enough, so don’t feel competent enough to know the gaps or ins and outs. Presumed it might be hard to use the same playbook as what I did for Carrd… Do you think it matters?

Just give one a try and see how it feels and how it performs.
