New plans for hitting $10k

OK… New identity, new dreams, new plans.

What’s the fastest way for me to get to $10k/m revenue by end of 2024?

Can be MRR, can be one-time.
Can be from SaaS, can be info products, can be services.

Thing is, I can’t control whether people buy, and when and how much money comes in. It’s a lagging indicator of my efforts. What I can control is my input and throughput.

The plan is simple:

Stay focused. Ship fast, ship more. But stay healthy.

Shipping habits:

  • Ship fast. Launch new products and/or services on roughly a monthly or bimonthly rhythm.
  • But identify distribution channels first before building. Check keywords. Find where the community hangs out. Or explore ads.
  • Build cheaper alternatives to popular but more expensive SaaS, for example, Canny, Typeform, Slack, to skip over the time needed to figure out product-market fit. Work on validated ideas where it’s already proven to have a market, with a few incumbent competitors.
  • Don’t waste time working on something I’m not good at or don’t have unfair advantage. Leverage, amplify my strengths. It can be interest, passion, knowledge, experience, culture. Any asset I might already have.
  • Remove all tasks that don’t move the needle on revenue. Be strategically incompetent, selective attentive.
  • Timebox time spent on X. 1h per day for building in public. Don’t engage and get distracted by drama. Engage directly on profile pages of honest BIP accounts.

Daily habits:

  • Restart 4am mornings to work 2-3h deep work every morning.
  • That requires me to sleep early, by 9pm. Sleep enough.
  • Be done for the day by 6pm. Spend time with family.
  • Body weight workouts every morning, for stronger back and shoulders.
  • Back to low carb intuitive eating for better energy levels and less cravings.
  • Write daily, about my progress. Don’t overthink what to write and waste time.

I think that’s about enough as a plan. The best plans are simple to understand and execute on, so need to resist the urge to put in more tasks and things to do.

Time to execute.

Onwards to the rest of 2024!
