Stop saying

Self-care’s in the self talk yeah, but the self-sabotage is also in the self talk.
Speaking with kindness and care to yourself might help. What you don’t say to yourself is important too. And it’s not the usual “Don’t say unkind things to yourself” - those are easy enough to recognise and to counter. It’s the things that sound like facts that could be silently killing you on the inside. Things that might be true for now but not true all the time.
Because it becomes true all the time when you say it all the time, even if it’s true only for now.
Stop saying nobody is coming to save you.
Stop saying you must provide at all costs.
Stop saying there’s not enough money.
Stop saying I’m chronically fatigued.
Stop saying nobody understands.
Stop saying you’re alone in this.
Stop saying I work 70h weeks.
Stop saying I work 14h a day.
Stop saying I have no time.
Stop saying I’m exhausted.
Stop saying I’m just tired.
Stop saying it’s nothing.
Stop saying it’s heavy.
Stop saying all that.
Yes they might be true some of the time. Not saying it doesn’t change the reality. I get it. But repeating it on loop 24/7 in your head creates the nightmare you’re trying so hard to avoid.
It’s self-fulfilling self-sabotage.
You are what you repeat.
These included.
