Tall trees flower slower

Exactly two years, I wrote about how tall trees grow slow.

If tall tree grow slow, then it flowers even slower. Once every decade maybe.

Sometimes I feel like said tall tree. Don’t misunderstand, this isn’t a veiled self-congratulatory compliment. Tall trees are no better than short grass as a slow campfire is no better than fireworks. Just different. Different lifespan. Different purposes. Different paths. Tall trees grow tall and taller than grass but break and fall in strong winds. Short grass just thrash about and sway in the strong wind but stay intact.

So yeah. It’s been two years since I wrote that. And I’m no closer to my goals. Grow slow, for sure. Flower even slower, yes.

But this year feels like things are turning for the better. Promising flower buds, peeking out from branches, unsure if it’s time has come.

But water it, fertilise it, sun it I will. New skill (SEO), new mindset (serious), new income (3 jobs) equals better chances, right motivation and longer runway.

Tall trees grow slow and flower even slower.
But may the harvest be plenteous when it comes.
